WATER PROOFING TREATMENT USING GROUTING PROCEDURE OF RETAINING WALL

 GROUTING PROCEDURE OF RETAINING WALL:-

 Construction & Honeycomb Treatment:-

Chasing open the joints in ‘’V’’ shape/ ‘’U’’ shape groove of required width and depth as per site conditions.

  • Chasing open the junction of RCC and the masonry surfaces, sealing the groove with repair mortar C:M with Conplast WL equivalent @ 150 ml per bag of cement etc.
  • The minimum dosage is 125ml and the maximum is 200ml per 50kgs of cement. If maximum dosage is used a minimum of 15% water should be reduced to ensure no loss in strength.
  • The required quantity of Conplast WL is measured and stir into the first or second bucket of water. Conplast WL water mixture shall be added to the concrete or mortar and mixed thoroughly. Mixing shall be continued and further water shall be added until the required work ability is obtained.

Grouting:-

Cementious Grout:-

·    Providing and applying neat cement slurry grouting (Cebex 100) including expandable additive as directed by consultants in proportion of 1:1 by weight with the pressure grouting method by drilling and providing PVC socket pipes around the concrete surface junction etc. and sealing the drill with grout around the socket, to fill up the cracks, fissure, cavities, void, honeycomb, to make substrate consistent, homogeneous and resistant to water seepage / penetration and sealing top of the socket with grout top 1’’ depth etc.

·      Providing and fixing ‘’NRV packers’’ including the drilling holes of 14 mm dia., fixing packers and sealing the leak paths surrounding using rapid setting mortar.

Polyurethane Grout:

  • Injecting single component, closed cell, low-viscosity, hydrophobic, hydro-active, rigid /flexible polyurethane injection grout using high pressure injection Pump which includes cleaning of pump with solvent after every injection, Machinery charges, oil and other consumables like thinner, adopters, removing packers after injection, cleaning region and making the surface good etc. complete.
  •  Areas to be grouted should be prepared to ensure substrates are clean, sound, and then pre-wetted. The unrestrained surface area of the grout must be kept to a minimum. Place the grout within 20 minutes of mixing to gain the full benefit of the expansion process. Adopt usual placing or pumping procedures ensuring a continuous operation.
